Induction - "Just to say your induction treatment on Wednesday worked! I went into pre-labour early yesterday (Thursday) and properly into labour about midnight. I gave birth to a little girl at 3.30am on Friday. Everything went well; she weighed 9.5lbs so it was a good job she got out then! Thanks very much for your help."

Infertility - "As I sit looking at my three month baby girl, I think of the long journey it took to get here, and how grateful I am that we found out about acupuncture. We tried for a baby for three years, had all the tests and examinations, but specialists couldn't find any reason for my partner and I failing to conceive. We were on the NHS waiting list for IVF and looking in to private fertility clinics, when a friend who had had acupuncture for fertility issues recommended it to me. I had acupuncture treatments over an 8 month period (my partner had some too) and then were overjoyed to find out I was pregnant! Breech Position - "We had our Friday morning acupuncture session, and then my partner did an evening treatment. We then did two more on Saturday; consequently I felt a real tightening of my uterus that day. I was also practising my inverted positions for as long as I could bear it. Then Sunday morning we did one more treatment and both of us fell asleep straight afterward for about an hour and a half. I awoke to mammoth squirms going on and I knew he had turned. Monday I was scanned and sure enough he was head down. Thank you so much for helping us. I'm really looking forward to holding him in my arms."

IVF
I just wanted to let you know that I am now almost 11 weeks pregnant. I had a scan last week following a light bleed and was assured that everything is fine.

I am planning to have acupuncture sporadically throughout the pregnancy so will probably see you soon. In the mean time, I just want to say a huge thank you for your help, support and flexibility in offering appointments. I really believe that the acupuncture played a huge part in the success of my IVF treatment. (Patient went on to deliver a healthy boy).

Crohn's Disease - "Following diagnosis of Crohn's Disease many years ago, I had been meaning to to try acupuncture for a long time. The reason it never made it to the top of my to-do list was that I am petrified of needles. I finally gave it a go in March 2007 (alongside western medicine following a relapse and a hospital stay) and it has totally changed my life; the needles are not as bad as I'd imagined - it really is just like a quick pinch!! As of August 2007 I am now happily and officially in remission. If you are suffering from any kind of bowel disease I would completely recommend you give acupuncture a try.
